Summer Scholars Camp

For students entering grades 2 - 5

 

Summer Scholars is an instructional school-based program targeting literacy and math intervention for students entering grades 2-5, with identified needs in literacy and math. Students will be engaged in comprehensive and meaningful literacy and math instruction using evidence-based practices to address their individual needs. The goal of Summer Scholars is to accelerate student growth in literacy and math.

 

 

Comprehensive Literacy Instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and writing.

Literacy Workshop: literacy workstations, whole group, small group, and one-on-one tailored instruction in reading and writing.

 

 

Area of Instruction: grade level concepts with a focus on number sense and mathematical fluency.

Math Framework: Activities, games, choice time, and math mindset activities.
