Look for some real life reading and writing examples in the future

Ms. Gorsky ENGLISH:

For all classes:

  •  Keep a daily journal.  Set aside a half hour each day and write about the day’s events. You can get creative.  Perhaps make a video diary.   Add a tictoc of the day.  Have fun with it.  This will be something you enjoy looking back at as you get older. These are historic times that we are living in. Keeping a journal will make you a primary source for future generations.

  • Read.  Set aside some time each day to read your favorite book or magazine.  You can log your reading at the link below.

      https://www.k12reader.com/reading-logs/RL-RdgTime-Plain.pdf

  • There are some websites you can visit to keep those skills sharp.  They include the following.

Grade Specific:

Grade 9:  Sign up for REMIND 101 by texting the #81010 with the word @gorskye

We have been reading the novel Dear Martin.  If you would like to see how the story ends, it is available online at the following link.  We stopped at Chapter 11.  It was just getting good!

Grade 12: Sign up for REMIND 101 by texting the #81010 with the message @gorskyengl

We were just wrapping up reading A Raisin in the Sun.  I was looking forward to watching the movie with you.   Here is the link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKj7wcuY6X8

Also you might want to start thinking about those graduation speeches.
