Volunteer Opportunities

Fundraising Committee
Includes oversight of all Foundation fundraising activities.  Meets as needed.  Current initiatives include:

• Annual Appeal
• Events
• Memorials and Tributes
• Payroll Deduction
• Teacher Tribute Program
• Vendor Campaign

Grant Committee
Responsible for researching external grant opportunities to help meet the mission of the South Lake Educational Foundation.  Write grant proposals, apply to outside funding sources and follow-up with funders as needed.

Nominating Committee
Recommends appointments for Board of Trustees vacancies and new terms.  Meets as needed.

PR Committee
Responsible for Foundation public relations including:

• Developing, designing and writing print and image pieces
• Media relations including writing press releases
• Promote the Foundation including fundraising appeals and events
• Updates to Foundation website

Small Grant Program Committee
Assists with the production and distribution of Small Grant Program materials to South Lake Schools.  The Foundation awards one or two series of Small Grants to South Lake teachers and administrators each school year.
