About the South Lake Educational Foundation

The South Lake Educational Foundation was established in 2004 by a group of business, civic, and community leaders who recognized the reciprocal nature of quality public schools and thriving communities. Foundation trustees want to ensure the continued success of South Lake students, as well as that of future generations.

The mission of the South Lake Educational Foundation is to generate and distribute financial and other resources to and for the South Lake Schools for enrichment programs and other projects aimed at enhancing the quality of learning and educational opportunities for students in the School District.

Our focus is on helping to fund creative initiatives that will benefit our students and help them be more successful in life. The Foundation will fund major projects, but it also will enable teachers to undertake a number of innovative classroom projects at all grade levels by awarding numerous “mini” and “collaborative” grants through the Small Grant Program.

Five “Primary Funds” have been created to support five basic areas of education.

Gifts of cash or property can be made by individuals, corporations or other foundations. Individuals interested in giving gifts through wills, trusts and securities, or as a memorial or tribute, should contact the Foundation for details.

Dedicated to enhancing excellence in education through the cultivation and distribution of resources in South Lake Schools
