ASBESTOS PLAN AVAILABLE
A master copy of the district’s asbestos management plan is kept in the main office of each school building and at the Administration Building by the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds. The report is updated annually and contains information about asbestos inspections, response actions, surveillance and reinspection plans. In addition, South Lake Schools has a videotape about preventing unnecessary exposure to asbestos in the workplace. HERBICIDE APPLICATION PROGRAM
As required by law, South Lake Schools provides notice of each year’s Herbicide Application Program for our school facilities. Applications may be made to fertilize grass and control noxious and broad leaf weeds on the front lawns (never on playgrounds) of each building and at the Athletic Field. If spraying is necessary, it will be done on weekends by certified applicators and appropriate signage will be posted. For more information, contact Matthew Dishman at 586-435-1620.
