In 1990, the Michigan Legislature passed Public Act #25. Public Act #25 is a comprehensive school improvement law dedicated to creating a framework for educational accountability for Michigan public schools. The law delineates a school improvement process, an accreditation process, a core curriculum, and the requirements for an annual educational report.
