September 8, 2006 The girls Varsity Swim Team beat Macomb Dakota last night 97-83. First place finishes were taken by Nicki Smola in 2 events, Ann-Kristin Pickhardt in 2 events and Ginger Wojciechowski in 2 events, and Megan Climer won the 100 Butterfly. All of those girls hit the county cut times along with first year swimmer, Sara Nannini in the 100 Breaststroke. Ann-Kristin Pickhardt also hit the Division 2 State Cut with the time of 1:03.35 in the 100 backstroke, the 50 freestyle, and the 200 I.M. Ann was named swimmer of the meet. September 13, 2006 The SL GVST swam league opponent Lamphere last night earning a 118 to 52 victory. Ann-Kristin Pickhardt broke the pool record for the 100 backstroke with a time of 102.52. The girls swam very well as a team and earned this victory. September 15, 2006 Last night the girls swam Warren Mott and won. The score did not get announced at the end of the meet and the score sheet was not available but the Cavaliers did prevail. We have had better meets this season and we did have 2 relays DQ September 27, 2006 We won 111-59 last night against Marine City. The girls swam very well and we had no DQ’s. Highlights of the meet were a county best Medley relay time of 2:03.96 posted by Ann-Kristin Pickardt, Sara Nannini, Megan Climer, and Ginger Wojciechowski, a 200 IM time of 2:57.73 by senior Becca Simmons, a 50 split of 37.29 by Freshman Jojo DeJongh and a 100 Breast time of 1:31.85 by Junior Becca Pattison.
